THE ANCESTOR THAT STILL IN THE OCEAN

In your view maybe this thing is not make sense. but this is the real life of the balinese people. When some people feel unhappy they might though there something some kind of duties that completely had not done yet. One those thing could be the spirits of the ancestors are belief still suffering in the ocean,, they supernaturally need a help from their grandson or son to pull them out from the ocean where they are being punished. so that why we have to hold this ceremony..and this is a part of the cremation ceremony. You can see here trough the photo my big family are going to the beach together. some of them also bring offerings , that will be offered to God of the ocean that known as ''SANGHYANG BARUNA''.


My friend's wedding


Hi..do you see, who are in photo?..well he is one of my good friend in the village , his name is Gede. We have been friend for a long time. a friend in need and in stead, As a good friend we normally spend our time to drink tuak or traditional drink with about 10 % alcohols especially during the traditional holiday or ritual ceremony in my village because we rarely meet each other. And last month he met his soul mate and do wedding ceremony soon,,he said ,"sooner ,better , as I am getting older and older...That One of the wedding prossesion when a man family ask to the woman family, means the man or the husband candidate is requested to ask permission from the woman ancestor to promise that he loves her very much and will look after her until the end of life. so that why you see the offerings in front of the priest as a clues that you are seriusly love your wife. This also one why where you can see the real balinese life......

The Balinese girl

Before 1940, The Balinese woman were still naked, This condition can be seen if one day you visit Bali do not forget to visit any museum in Ubud area. The collection of photos which are collected there clearly described about the real balinese life at that time, and this is also another good way to see the real bali.
